Framery One Pods Bring New Focus and Privacy to Macedon Ranges Libraries
We were recently engaged by Goldfields Library Corporation to supply and install four Framery One pods across the Macedon Ranges, giving communities at Woodend, Gisborne, Kyneton and Romsey Libraries a new layer of privacy and flexibility within some of the region’s most well-used public spaces.
Each library received a Framery One, a private, soundproofed pod with automated lighting and adaptive ventilation that refreshes the air inside after every use, suited to telehealth appointments, online meetings and quiet, focused work.
Since going in, the pods have:
- Given patrons across the Macedon Ranges a private space for telehealth appointments, online meetings and calls, without needing to leave the library or find a quiet corner
- Added a bookable, quiet option for focused study and work during busy periods at each site
- Fitted seamlessly into each library’s existing footprint, requiring no construction or permanent fit-out to install
Local Government Minister Paul Hamer and Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas officially opened the pods at Woodend Library on 10 June, joined by Macedon Ranges councillor Rob Guthrie. Ms Thomas said the pods give locals more ways to use and benefit from their libraries:
“Whether it’s a telehealth appointment, an online meeting or a quiet place to focus, these new meeting pods will give Macedon locals more free ways to use and benefit from our local libraries.”
Goldfields Libraries regional manager Jess Saunders said the pods have already seen strong demand:
“They are already being booked out and the feedback from patrons has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the role our libraries play as modern, adaptable community hubs.”
The rollout was funded through the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program, which supports library upgrades ranging from expanded children’s areas to new technology hubs.
We’re proud to support Goldfields Libraries and the Macedon Ranges community in delivering modern, flexible spaces that meet the changing needs of the people who use them.
